'Vamsam' opens big

It's no easy thing for a newcomer. But Arulnidhi has managed to achieve it. His maiden venture 'Vamsam', which hit the screens today, has been receiving a tremendous response all over Tamil Nadu.
Sources say in the trade say that the film directed by Pandiraj of 'Pasanga' fame is running packed houses since this morning. "This is no doubt a grand opening," they point out.
Explaining the reason, a theatre manager in Chennai says, "this is due to the expectations created by 'Vamsam' thanks to various factors like it is the maiden heroic venture of the Chief Minister's grandson Arulnidhi and the film is directed by Pandiraj, who made his debut with a lovely film Pasanga."
"Added to these are the aggressive promotion activities made by the film's producer M K Thamizharasu. Apart from creating a hype, the film has lived up to it. For those coming out of the first show are happy with Vamsam," he adds.
